The Bushy Park Trail Run took place on Sunday 26th February 2006. This is a Cross Country race of 4.8 miles (2 mile run for Juniors under 17) over the grassland of Bushy Park. You can find results Here VenueThe race is on the same course as for the past two years. Start and finish are near the Hampton Royals Cricket Club. Nearest (pedestrian) gates to the Park are in Church Grove (by the skate park) or in Sandy Lane. This link will take you to a map with a red circle marking the start. Race DetailsThere will be a Junior (under 17) race of 2 miles, starting at 10:45,
followed by the Senior race of 4.8 miles over two laps, starting at
11:15. Please note that these distances are approximate. Changing:There is limited changing at the Cricket Club which is located inside the park, but if you can arrive ready to run this is helpful. Kit bags may be left in the pavilion - at your own risk. There are also toilets in the pavilion. How to enterYou can enter here All the essential detail is on this site. The entry fees are £7.50 for the Senior race and £3.50 for the Junior. If the race is not full there will be limited entries on the day, with a supplementary fee of £2. We do strongly recommend that you enter in advance. How to get thereBy rail : Hampton Wick station is less than 500m from the start. Cross
the main road and follow Vicarage Road with the railway on your
right. At the end, cross Sandy Lane, turn left and in 100m you will
come to the park gate. Junior RunThe Junior run of 2 miles is for runners under 17 on 31 August 2005. There will be a number of age category prizes, plus a team prize based on the cumulative time of the first four finishers in the team. Team affiliations should be declared on the entry forms. You may have more than four in a team, but only the first four score. Senior PrizesThere will be prizes for the first 1st 3 men and women, also for Vets - 1st M40, M50, M60, F35, F45 and F55. There may be some further Super Vets prizes depending on the number of entries. Final NotePlease remember that this race only takes place with the permission of the Royal Park. We have good relations with the Park authorities - please ensure that this is maintained. |
