Club Runs During Lockdown

While Covid restrictions are in place, the normal Club sessions have been suspended. As the latest guidance from England Athletics allows groups of up to 6 to run together as long as they maintain social distancing, we have started the sessions shown below that will adhere to the EA guidelines.

Sunday Mornings

The Sunday training group meets at The Pheasantry car-park, Bushy Park for a 9am start. The group usually runs a 10k course around Bushy Park or along the towpath although some runners do a shorter (5k) or a longer (8m) course. There is no need to say in advance that you are coming.

Monday Evenings (Little Feet)

From Monday 5th October, the meeting point will move to Old Bridge Street in Hampton Wick by the river. This area is well lit, widens out at the end and is close to parking. Bike racks are available on High Street by Sigma Sports and the Swan pub. We will continue to meet at 7pm. For new runners or anyone who hasn’t been to Little Feet before, please contact us by email Littlefeet@stragglers.org before turning up so we can explain how things will work and ensure that we have your contact details.

Tuesday Evenings

Meet by the cricket club on Giggs Hill Green in Thames Ditton at 19:00. There may be up to 4 groups running at different paces, depending on who/how many turn up. For new runners or anyone who hasn’t been to the Tuesday evening session before, please contact us by email at TuesdayEvening@stragglers.org, and include your phone number, so we can explain how things will work and ensure that we have your contact details.

Thursday Evenings

We normally meet on Riverside Drive in Ham (by the end of the path down to the lock) at 18:30. Runs will be arranged in groups of not more than 6 and will target a distance and pace that is suitable for the particular group. There is plenty of parking space available on Riverside Drive if you want to drive there.
You don't need to tell us in advance that you want to run but we will keep a record of everybody who attends to support "track and trace" if that should be needed, so please don't set off with a group until your name has been taken.
