Club Runs During Lockdown
While Covid restrictions are in place, the normal Club sessions have been suspended. As the latest guidance from England Athletics allows groups of up to 6 to run together as long as they maintain social distancing, we have started the following sessions that will adhere to the EA guidelines.
The Sunday training group meets at The Pheasantry car-park, Bushy Park for a 9am start. The group usually runs a 10k course around Bushy Park or along the towpath although some runners do a shorter (5k) or a longer (8m) course. There is no need to say in advance that you are coming.
Monday Evenings (Little Feet)
Meet at the side of the cricket pitch by Church Grove gate at 19.00. For new runners or anyone who hasn’t been to Little Feet before, please contact us by email Littlefeet@stragglers.org before turning up so we can explain how things will work.
Meet by the cricket club on Giggs Hill Green in Thames Ditton at 19:00. There may be up to 4 groups running at different paces, depending on who/how many turn up. There is no need to say in advance if you are coming, contact details will be collected on the night.
We normally meet on Riverside Drive in Ham (by the end of the path down to the lock) at 18:30. Runs will be arranged in groups of not more than 6 and will target a distance and pace that is suitable for the particular group. There is plenty of parking space available on Riverside Drive if you want to drive there.
N.B. On September 24th group will meet in Bushy Park in the car park by the Diana Fountain and arrange socially distanced 5k runs for anybody wanting to enter the club Virtual 5k Handicap and/or Virtual 5k Championships.
You don't need to tell us in advance that you want to run but we will keep a record of everybody who attends to support "track and trace" if that should be needed, so please don't set off with a group until your name has been taken.
