South of England
Cross Country Championships
Saturday 30th
January 2010, Parliament Hill
Summary:
Run in sunny, chilly conditions, with the usual mixture of thick sticky mud and deep wet mud, and over a 9-mile course that seemed suspiciously longer than previous years, judging by times.
The Ladies got off to a tough start when only Louise Neville made it to the start on time, although Chrissie Glew managed to leap out of her late train, grab a number and catch up with the field.
A strong turnout from the men, with another great run from Graham and another very promising one from Richard, with the club Vets (and a resurgent Allan Barrie) finishing the scoring. Will post up the numbers when I get them; the announcers seemed very pleased with their chip timing and speedy results, although they don’t seem in a hurry to share those with anyone else.
