Stragglers face off to weekend heat

Despite the sweltering heat this weekend, Stragglers were out in force at various races. Over thirty members tackled the Richmond 10k where our women's team of Lisa Bailey, Joanne Ritson, Harri Daniel and Lucy Chambers took the women’s title, while the men’s team of Simon Mumme, Jim Lurkins, Matthias Werner and Austin Molnar finished third. Lisa was second overall in 35:52 while Simon finished in 36:07.

Also racing at the weekend, Patricia Ronksley was first woman in her age group at the Midnight Sun Half Marathon in Tromso in 1:48:03.  Tina and Katie Sheppard also competed in the event.

Stuart Hambling raced at the Serpentine Last Friday of the month 5k finishing in 21:42, while Dean Morley finished the Race to the King 50k in 5 hours and 6 minutes.  Ed and Sarah Randall raced the Martian 10k and 5k respectively
