The Purple Elephant Project

The Purple Elephant Project is a children’s mental health charity, supporting over 100 children and their families every week with therapeutic services such as Play and Art Therapy across the London Boroughs of Richmond, Hounslow and beyond.
The charity aims to support here children and their families facing various challenges, such as trauma, mild anxiety, lack of confidence or sadness. Through specialist therapeutic services tailored to each child’s unique needs, they work to transform lives; enabling children to reach their full potential and a brighter future.

Clarendon School

Clarendon School is a special academy for pupils aged 4–16 with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs.
Clarendon School’s vision is to be “a place of learning for everyone” where all pupils are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential across academic, social, creative, personal, physical and moral development; to grow in confidence and independence; and to make a positive contribution to both the school and wider community in which they are valued as individuals.

Charity Status and Objectives
In January 2025 our thriving club became a registered charitable incorporated organisation, number 1211783.
Our charitable aims are:

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for running and athletics (and running-related activities).

To further such other charitable purposes according to the laws of England and Wales by any means as the trustees shall in their discretion determine.

Our vision and club objectives (to be adopted formally at the July 2025 AGM)
Our vision is to be a vibrant and inclusive running community that fosters a lifelong passion for running, camaraderie, and personal growth. As a fully constituted Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), we are committed to providing a welcoming environment where members of all abilities feel valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their personal and collective goals.
We strive to:

Promote participation, enjoyment, and excellence in running through high-quality training, social events, and well-organised races.

Deliver high-standard, well supported and enjoyable club races, including the Wedding Day 7k, Green Belt Relay, River Relay, Cabbage Patch 10, and club championship races.

Encourage club and individual success in cross-country leagues and other athletic competitions.

Build on our local and national reputation as a well-run, welcoming and successful club.

Encourage other fitness related activities such as strength and conditioning training and cycling

Build strong relationships within our community adopting a donations policy to maximise the impact of our charitable purpose and support.

Use digital innovation to improve communication and accessibility, ensuring all members stay connected and informed.
Our club’s ethos lies in its people – the volunteers, athletes, and supporters who contribute to our shared values. We support and encourage the different constituent parts of our club and celebrate them as a whole to reflect the breadth of interest and activities in the club. We promote personal well-being and camaraderie, athletic achievement and the building of lasting friendships through the joy of running.
