Weekend sees more Straggler triumphs

While Friday's Wedding Day was the highlight of the running weekend for many club members, Stragglers were still putting themselves through their paces on Saturday and Sunday. At Bushy parkrun both Chris Mayo and Neil Browning notched up their 500th event, earning themselves the iconic blue 500 t-shirt.

A bit further afield Sarah and Ian Bell travelled to the Isle of Wight to participate in the Bembridge 5k trail race on Sunday. Sarah won her age group finishing 43rd in 43:32 while Ian was 45th with a time of 44:37.

Earlier in the week some Stragglers ran the Battersea Park Runthrough 5k. Lisa Bailey was the first club member to finish in a new PB of 16:58. Jame Bowell also produced a PB of 17:52 while David Sheldon finished in 25:05.
