Marathon season ramps up

The Spring marathon season ramped up this weekend with members racing from Milan to Brighton.

David Sheldon was in Italy - raising funds Kingston Hospital's neo-natal unit - and completed the 26.2 miles in 3:16:51, while Freysen Maritz notched up a PB in Linz when he finished in 2:59:52.  Closer to home Alistair Hall raced in Boston (Lincolnshire) and also produced a new marathon PB of 2:59:26, while Simon Brazil and Trevor Ford tackled blustery conditions on the South Coast, finishing Brighton in 3:40:31 and 3:52:06 respectively. 

This weekend also saw the Thames Towpath 10 which Dean Morely completed in 68:31 while Sarah Pettefer finished in 1:45:14. In Salisbury Sarah and Iain Bell were also racing over 10 miles and finished in 83:14 and 84:32.
