While the sane were sheltering from this weekend's blistering heat, some Stragglers were pushing themselves to new achievements and milestones. Heading the pack was mighty Marilyn Davis who raced on both days. On Saturday she was first female finisher at the Rhino Run half marathon in the Surrey Hills. She followed this up with silver at Sunday's North Down Way British Masters 30k trail race.

It was a big weekend for Andy Howarth, but in a different way. Andy was celebrating his 500th parkrun and 100th different parkrun location and chose to do it at Bedgebury parkrun where the pinetum was also celebrating a 100th anniversary.

He was joined by wife Sue and a group of friends including Sophie Elloy who was celebrating her 50th parkrun. Sophie was one of the original graduates from our first Couch to 5k programme.
