Nic and Sophie podium in Horsenden

Nic Douglas and Sophie Biggs produced superb performances to finish second and third overall in the South of England Masters XC in Horsenden on Saturday.

Nic was the first Straggler to finish in the 6k woman's race with a time of 23:10 which also earnt her silver in V40. Sophie finished close behind her in 23:50 and won gold in V50. Pamela McHutchon also won gold in V65. There were team medals as well with silver in V50 and gold in V60. In the men's 10k race, Donovan Duffy was the first Straggler to finish in 39:50 and 36th place followed by Malcolm Fletcher with a time of 45:31.

Choosing less muddy surroundings, Lucy and Rob Chambers raced 10k in Regents Park. Rob finished in 39:25 and Lucy finished in 39:58.
