Over 10 Stragglers were part of a 80-strong group of female volunteers at Bushy Park on Saturday. For the second year in a row, Bushy parkrun's roster was a women-only affair in honour of International Women's Day. Four of the day's 16 pacers were Stragglers and

there were others members managing and scanning tokens, co-ordinating the volunteers and delivering the first timers' briefing.
A further 79 club members completed the 5k event.
Meanwhile in a park close by - namely Richmond - there was another significant event as Phil Davies completed his 400th parkrun -not an official milestone but impressive all the same. The event attracted nearly 500 participants compared to Bushy's 1437, but they weren't all there for Phil. It was also Richmond's 800th event. Among the 13 Stragglers there marking both occasions, was Rob Eveson who finished first after being first finisher at another local parkrun last Saturday at Crane Park.
