It seems Stragglers cant resist the longer distances, even when the weather has been unseasonably hot and a quick 10k and a iced latte would seem to be far more appealing.
Lex Prince and Steve Baller headed north this weekend for the Edinburgh marathon but found themselves fighting 40 mph headwinds, hail and in the case of Steve, crippling cramp.

Lex smashed her PB by 13 minutes to finish in 3:21:07 and seventh in her age category. Steve was on course to do likewise but had to walk the last few miles to finish in 4:21:32.
While the pair travelled a long way for their dose of endurance running, Carla Cotton decided to stay closer to home but run further, a lot further. She completed the London2Brighton 100k ultra, her first one - in 14:38:08.
