Our neighbourhood rivals 26.2, will have felt rather mobbed after Sunday's annual head to head since Stragglers turned up in force, winning the mob match 143 to 80. Given the wet conditions, it was a fabulous turn out so thanks to all who participated.
26.2 were hosting this year and had designed a new 5.15km course along the banks to the Hogsmill. They claimed the first two finishers but Pete Gregorowski wasn't far behind finishing third in 17:47. Maddie Garner was the fastest overall female finisher, crossing the line 12th in a time of 19:31.
Stragglers also dominiated the four legged contest with Havana taking the title of fastest dog and Stragglers canines beating their rivals with eight finishers to six for 26.2.
Thanks are due to 26.2 who provided a lovely spread of sandwiches, bacon butties, tean and coffee after the run.
Phil happily hands 26.2 captain Jacqueline Chang the runners up Paxo
