Stragglers revel in SGP and Guernsey sun

The Summer Grand Prix continued this weekend with a sunny Sutton 10k acting as the second event in the series, attracting a big, yellow crowd as 26 members competed. Emma Henston was the first finisher from the club and first woman overall, with a time of 36:32 which gave. her 32nd spot, while Austin was our first man in 36:33 and 33rd Both notched up new PBs for 10k.

Pamela McHutchon won her age group in a time of 50:09.

Elsewhere a group of Stragglers travelled to Guerney for the island's relay marathon. Stragglers Thames Ditton (Jason Nourse, Sue Haworth, Izzy Grindal, Steve Baller and Lex Prince) finished 30th out 100 teams in 3:34:40 , while Stragglers 2 (Paul Keeler, Andy Howarth, Stuart Thompson and two friends from other clubs) finished 36th with a time of 3:41:26. Heather Horler also raced at Guerney, competing in the two-person relay.
