XC resumes with club race in Esher

Nearly 40 Stragglers competed at the club's XC championship at West End common in Esher, and for some it was their second race of the weekend following the SEAA road relays on Saturday.

Pavel Przepiorski who was first finisher in a time of 25:39 did both events, as did three more of the first five finishers - Oll Bowers, Austin Molnar and Angus Beaumont. Zoe Birchenough was first woman in 31:02 and 13th position, while Becky Gravell, right behind her was second in 31:35.

There were almost as many Stragglers at the Vitality 10k - 29 in total - where Simon Mumme was the first to finish in 34:14 while Lisa Bailey was first woman in 35:43 (and first in her age group).
