A dozen do Dorking Tens

A dozen Stragglers chose to enjoy the fine weather on Sunday in Dorking, competing at the Dorking Tens. The longer of the two events, the 10-mile, incorporated the Surrev Ten Mile race.

Trevor Ford was the first Straggler to finish with a time of 1:12:53 and in 192nd place. He was followed by Gareth Pritchard (1:13:44) and Steve Smith (1:13:46). Merilyn Davis was the only woman from the club in that race and finished in 1:21:12, winning her age category.
Denis Mustafa (1:15:01), Roy Kemp (1;16:19), Simon Brazil (1:17:53), Phil Davies (1:20:37) and Michael Holden (1:38:28) also competed, with Steve and Phil finishing 1st and 3rd in their age category.
In the 10k event, Phil Hammett was the first Straggler to finish in 48:46, followed by Richard Steeden (56:21) and Clare Davis (1:08:19).
This weekend Stragglers were also at Weybridge where there was a half marathon and a 10k. In the half, Alma Dedic was our first finisher in 1:52:57, followed by Matias Muscio (1:54:05), Gabby Walters (2:21:10), and Tony Addison (2:37:39). In the 10k Christene Nolan was first to finish in 50:22 while Sally Boulton crossed the line in1:06:03.
