With no cross country races it was a quieter weekend for most club members. While many took the opportunity to do some training, a handful found a chance to compete.

Susie McNicol, Ali Kennedy and Mirella Genziani completed the inaugural West London 10k at Gunnersbury Park. All finished within a minute of each other with Susie finishing in 55:56, Ali 56:36 and Mirella 56:54.
At the Sri Chinmoy Grizzy Bear 10k in Battersea Stephen Wu notched up a six second PB finishing in 35:35. Also competing were Sam Hawthorn (36:33), James Bowell (37:35) and Andrew Simpson (38:11).
A little further afield, the Mole Valley to be precise, Sophie Biggs and Nick Kennedy both battled with the mud at the Hurtwood 50km. Sophie finished as second woman in a time of 4:57.34 while Nick finished in 6:01,24.
Harry Tivnen and Chris Coates, travelled the furthest this weekend as they competed at the Valencia Marathon. Harry took six minutes off his PB when he finished in 2:36.10. Chris finished in 2:50.35 to give him his second sub three-hour marathon this year, since he completed London in April in 2:48.40.
Congratulations to all of them.
