This weekend saw some Stragglers tackling extreme challenges. At Beachy Head Ultra our very own Ultra queen Sophie Biggs topped the podium as first female finisher with a time of 4:47:50
Meanwhile, in Wales seven Stragglers tackled the Eryri Marathon on Snowdon. Simon Mumme was the first to finish from the club in 3:25:36, followed by Ollie Bowers (3:36:10), Duncan McConnell (3:47:29), Phil Davies (4:15:39), Simon Brazil (4:40:38) and Simon Wong (4:59:53). Naomi Johns was the only woman from the club to participate finishing in 4:38:23. Chance Rowan ran the first half but had to withdraw at 15 miles.
Further a field in Hawaii, Ed Buckley was competing in the VinFast Ironman World Championships Ironman, and completed the course in10:15:10. He was the fourth British competitor to finish.
And finally, Merilyn Davies was the first women in W65 at the new Runthrough Beat Boxhill Trail 21k, beating all the women in the W50 and W55 categories. This followed Merilyn's third place in W65 at the England Masters championships at the Chester Marathon.
