Elmbridge RR get mobbed while Ian Abbots

Saturday saw another large turnout for a mob event as Elmbridge Road Runners challenged the Stragglers to a mob match at the parkrun at Crane Park. The overall result was never in doubt as 75 Stragglers completed the two lap 5k circuit against 33 from the hosts.

Pavel Przepiorski was the first Straggler to fnish in fourth place in 17:48 with Nic Douglas our fastest woman, was fifth, finishing in 18:41. Austin Molnar and Ian Riley also finished in the top 10, although Andrew Moreton from ERR was the first 'mobber' to finish, placing third in 17:45.

Missing from the Straggler mob, Anne Woods and Ian Robertson were at Hikarigaoka parkun in Tokyo ahead of the marathon. The next day Ian completed his Abbot Six with his second fastest time over 26.2 - 3:27:47. Congratulations Ian!
