Club 10k draws an eager crowd

This year's club 10k championship attracted a large entry with 58 members finishing the race on a warm summer's night in Bushy Park.

Club kit wasn't a requirement although yellow vests were out in force. And it was some familiar faces leading the pack from the start, with Sam Hawthorn, Lisa Bailey and Sarah Holt out front. Sam was first finisher in 36:05 while Lisa finished second in 36:50. Bradley Harrad was the second man to finish with a time of 36:58, while Sarah finished fourth overall in 37:05.

After six events Austin Molnar is heading the men's Summer Grand Prix table with 148 points while Ashleigh Lezard is leading the women's table with 128 points. Sonia Bandeira who was the third woman to finish in the 10k earned 33 points which pushed her up the rankings on fourth spot, while Bradley moved up to ninth spot in the men's table despite only have run three events.

With six more events still to happen there are plenty of opportunities to earn more points. Yesterday's full results can be found here.
