Good club showing at first Surrey XC

There was a good turnout of both men and women at the first Surrey XC league match on Saturday. Both teams produced solid performances despite some of our fastest runners being unavailable.

Competing in Division 1, the women finished 10th (A team) and 11th (B team) with Sarah Holt the fastest finisher in 21:39 and 10th place.

Over 40 men raced in the men’s Division 2 match in Richmond Park, with our two teams finishing 9th and 4th. Thomas Ziegler was fastest finisher in 30th just ahead of Oli Bowers, with both finishing in 30:32.

Elsewhere both Robert Hodge and Tony Finn completed the Chicago marathon in 3:19:13 and 3:38:16 respectively.
