Good day at the office for GBR teams

Stragglers had a good day at the Green Belt relay on Saturday with our Open Men's team finishing the first 11 stages in 8th position overall and 4th in their category, while the Women were 3rd in the category and the Super Vets were 2nd.

Austin Molnar on the first leg for the open men's team put in a strong performance to finish 9th while Sarah Winter was 4th woman. Harri Daniel was the first Straggler to finish stage 2, coming in 10th and 3rd woman. Chance Rowan led the team home on stage 3 with a 16th place finish while Pavel Przepiorski was first Straggler to finish on 4, when he came in 5th.

Stage 5 saw Oli Bowers finishing strongly in second place while Sophie was second woman. Steve Clelland was our first finisher on stage 6 in 15th position with Lucy Chambers right behind him. Duncan McConnell came home as first Straggler in 12th position on stage 7, while Crispin Allen came home third overall on stage 8 with Scott Singleton on his heels in 4th position. Malcolm Calder was our first finisher on the ninth leg in 17th position while Nicky Hornzee led us home on stage 10, finishing 11th and second woman. On the final stage of the day, 11, Phil Hammett was first Straggler in 22nd.
