With gusts of up to 40 km per hour, Sunday was not the best day to be racing. However, the windy conditions did not deter a dozen club members who completed the Sutton 10k.
Austin Molnar was the first to finish in 40:04 while Claire Curtin was our fastest woman and our third finisher with a time of 43:38. Sarah Randall's time of 54:53 was a PB of over a minute while Michael Holden's time of 55:42 saw him finish first in his category VM70.
Further south and even more exposed to the wind, Emily and Tom Eastwood completed the Brighton marathon. Emily finished in 3:53:34 while Tom's time was 4:29:50. Emily will be doing in all again in two weeks' time have also won a place in the London marathon ballot.
