Marathoners deliver big results

Updated: 22 hours ago

Our mighty marathoners delivered some big results over half the distance this weekend. Tony Finn led the way, notching up PBs on both Saturday and Sunday (1:32:42 and 1:28:34) having done back to back halves in Prague and Berlin.

In doing so Tony completed his Super Six.  Andy Anstey (1:37:07) and Alfonzo Pereira (1:41:30) also competed in Berlin. Tony is targeting London and Alfonzo will return to Berlin in Setember.

Ten Stragglers competed at the Fleet Half with Oli Bowers the first to finish in 1:12:33 and 32nd position.  Both Chris Mude (1:17:40) and Ian Riley (1:19 :14) also ran under 80 minutes.  Oll is racing in Newport on April 19. Lucy Hoseason was our only female participant at Fleet and finished in 1:45:30, just ahead of Dad Andy.

At the Kew Half Claire Curtin finished first in her age group with a time of 1:29:40, while

Phil Hammett and Richard Bulkley travelled to Kent for the Brett Lydd half and finished in 1:35:33 and 1:43:22 respectively. Claire is also racing at London on April 26.
