Stragglers were out in force this weekend enjoying the fine weather at races, long Sunday runs or their local parkruns. The biggest race was the Surrey Half Marathon in Woking where the club was represented by seven members. Oli Bowers was the first to finish in 33rd position and a time of 1:12:15, while Sarah Holt was our fastest woman, finishing second in 1:15:35. Lisa Bailey was fourth in 1:18:31. Oli, Sarah, Lisa, Simon Mumme and Austin Molnar all achieved PBs.

A smaller group decide to participate in the Thames Riverside 20 at Old Deer Park, where Chance Rowan was the fastest finisher in 2:24:30.

By far the largest gathering of Stragglers was at Bushy Park for Saturday's parkrun - 102 members completed the 5k. While many are regulars, the offer of celebratory drinks and cake may also have boosted numbers as Anne Williams and Jim Sell celebrated their 250th events.

And in contrast, Peter Colwill was the only Straggler racing at the Rome Matathon where he finished in 4:42.
