Stragglers back with a bang

As the summer draws to a close Stragglers were gearing up for marathon season with some serious competitive running. At the SEAA relays the women finished 7th out of 61 teams while the V40 team took bronze in their age group.

The men turned out in force with 24 racing. The first men’s team finished 73rd with the V50 teams finishing 13th and 16th, and V60 finishing 12th.

Four Stragglers travelled to Berlin for the first big marathon of the season and produced fine performances in hot conditions. Rhys Doherty was the first Straggler to finish in 2:34:31. Claire Curtin finished in 3:16:54, Dean Morley in 3:20:25, and Ian Hawkes 3:42:17.
