Fifty seven teams completed this year's River Relay including 13 from Stragglers. Our women's team of Sophie Biggs. Lex Prince, Emma Henston, Harri Daniel and Nicky Hornzee - finished fifth overall and were the fastest women's team with a time of 2:56:32.
Trent Park, last year's winners, retained their title of overall winners finishing in a time of 2:41:14 while teams from Ealing Eagles and Clapham Pioneers were second and third in times of 2:41:19 and 2:49:11 respectively.
Team Dee - all the Stragglers teams were named after rivers - consisting of Mark Cannings, Pamela McHutchon, Malcolm Fletcher, Andy Howarth and Steve Baller were the second fastest Stragglers team, finishing in 3:34:04.
Other results this weekend included a PB of 38:22 for Austin Molnar at the Thorpe Park 10k, while Pavel Przepiorski finished in 49:37. Merilyn Davies and Amanda Recontre also completed the event with times of 50:36 and 57:52. On Saturday Merilyn and Pam Whitter achieved PBs in 800m and 400m at the London Masters championship.
