AGM looks back on first year as CIO

Over 60 members attended the club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) last Thursday, the first AGM since the club became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

Chair Kevin Price opened the meeting with a report on the past 12 months highlighting the club's many successes including the delivery of our ever-popular big events, the Cabbage Patch 10, Wedding Day 7, Green Belt and River Relay. Kevin paid tribute to all the volunteers who enabled the smooth running of the club and helped make these races and all the othet Straggler events a success.

In the absence of Treasurer Phil Hall who was unable to attend the meeting, Kevin presented a summary of the annual accounts and answered a number of questions about the club's finances.

After reports from both team managers, Kevin announced that Mark Thomas had been awarded a lifetime membership and the Outstanding Contribution award was going to to Helene Hill who is stepping down as manager of the women's team.
