Warrior women take on the heat

While many Stragglers were taking easy or at least running a little slower in the heat, some of our warrior women were taking it on and racing this weekend.

Sophie Biggs, never one to put off by daunting conditions, finished the Fox Ultra 62k in Godalming as first woman. Sophie completed the race in blistering conditions in 5 hours 52 minutes.

Further afield and only slightly cooler, the Cape Towm marathon beckoned for Claire Curtin and Jo Taman. Claire who raced

London last month finished in 3:06:42 while Jo crossed the line in 4:00:57.
