Women defend CP title

Stagglers women successfully defended their team title at the Cabbage Patch 10 on Sunday. Sarah Holt led the team home, finishing in 57:54 and fifth among the women. Phoebe Law was 8th, Nic Douglas 15th and Harri Daniel 23rd.


Over 65 Stragglers competed in the race while many more volunteered. Oli Bowers was the club’s first finisher in 25th and a time of 56:48. In total 1625 runners finished the race which was won by Joe Wigfield in 49:41. Annabel Gummon was first woman in 55:42.
Meanwhile at the Great South 10 miler, Tony Finn finished in 1:11:24 while Richard Steeden completed the run in 1:36:06.

And at the Amsterdam marathon, Duncan McConnell was fastest Straggler with a time of 3:05:11, followed by Malcom Davies (3:08:14) and James Bowell (3:40:49).
