The annual Wedding Day 7k delivered on almost every front with 651 participants enjoying the best of Bushy, on a long hot, summer's evening, made possible by 109 fantastic volunteers.

Lisa Bailey won the women's race and was the club's first finisher. The only disappointment was Woking AC edging out the Stragglers to win the women's team prize.

Adrien Royer of Guildford & Godalming won the race in 22:00 and Lisa finished 31st in a time of 24:13. Pete Gregorowski was the first man from the club to finish, placed 56th in 25:00 and finishing just ahead of Sathira Don, our second fastest man in 60th with a time of 25:13. Nicky Hornzee was our second fastest woman in 94th and 26:35.

Working took both the men and women's team prizes beating our women's team of Lisa, Nicky, Harri Daniel and Lex Prince by just six points.

Woking's James Gamble and Georgina Furze, who were getting married the next day took the couples prize with a combined time of 53:07, ahead of Will and Ely Ford of Guildford & Godalming (55:16) and Fraser and Claire Chamley of Working (59:42)

Two other Stragglers went home with prizes as Emma Gray won VW 60-69 while Harri Daniel won the prize for fastest local female runner. 76 members of the club participated.
