Our River Relay race will return on Sunday September 3rd .
This popular event is a baton relay race run over five stages totalling 26 miles from Boveney to Kingston-upon-Thames, with all the surplus funds returned as payments to charities selected by the winning teams.
Last year 52 teams participated, with Clapham Pioneers leading everyone home first, and £1,850 being shared by seven charities.
Clubs who took part in 2022 have been contacted to save the date. If your club has not taken part recently, or at all and you’d like to express an interest and receive notification of when entires open in June, please email riverrelay@stragglers.org.
The Stragglers will also be entering a number of teams, with a call out to be included in Stragmail later in the Summer.
Finally, this race relys on volunteers including marshals along the course. If you would be available to spare a few hours on this Sunday morning, please also contact the race organising team on the above email. The race starts at 9 am and the final team reaches the finish line around 1pm.
