Awards night caps a stellar year

There was plenty to cheer on Friday night when members of the club gathered for the annual awards night. As well as presenting the prizes for both the winter and summer grand prix, chair Kevin and club captains Helen and Simon, handed awards to the most improved runners, and everyone celebrated the outcomes of key races including the club 10k and the handicap series.

The grand prix winners were Lex Prince and Sam Hawthorn for the WGP, and Nicky Hornzee and Pete Gregorowski for the Summer SGP. The hero awards went to Pamela McHutchon and Simon Brazil (WGP) and Steve Baller and Tina Sheppard (SGP). The most improved runners were Lucy Chambers and Pavel Przepiorski. Pavel and Sarah Holt won the 10k while Sophie Elloy was the handicap series winner.
