Awards night celebrates junior talent

We celebrated our junior runners who participated in this summer's series of handicap races last week. William Gregory was overall winner, with Evie Beandeira finishing second and Tilly Gregory third. Georgina Warner won the Minis series while Maddie Kirk was second.

Fourteen participants attended all six events, and as such took home Hero awards. They were Annabel Bailey,  Beatrice Bailey, Eve Bailey, Evie Bandeira, Miguel Bandeira, Tilly Bandeira, Rafi Faiz, Harry Gregory, Tilly Gregory, William Gregory, Teddy Kirk, Sarah Scotten, and Georgina Warner. Oscar Curtin gets a special mention as having attended all of this year's events as well as last year's. He also took the award for fastest boy while Grace Bailey was fastest girl.

Matteo Munaretto took home the Achievement Award for conistent improvement across the year. The Smarties team won both the mob and team trophies for 2025.

Joseph Sutherland who won the Fastest Boy award for three years in a row presented the trophies and gave a short speech, encouraging participants to continue with their running. Our thanks go to him, the team that organised and ran all the events and the parents, carers and friends who supported the participants.
