Les clocks up 500 parkruns

Les Brown completed his 500th parkrun at Hanworth on Saturday, supported by friends and club mates from Stragglers.

Phil Davies reported that the 5k was more like a cross country race and that there was even a lake to run through. Les finished 87th in a time of 57:01. He has participated at Hanworth 60 times and hasn't strayed far from home in achieving the impressive milestone. Les' favourite course is Bushy where he has ran 323 times. The furthest he has travelled is Taunton where he completed the parkrun at Longrun Meadow.

Les started his parkrun career on August 12th 2006 at event 100 at Bushy when he finished 226th in 38:19.
