Thirteen eager Stragglers put their names in the draw for the club's two London Marathon places this month. All had applied for a place in the official ballot and been rejected. Other qualifying criteria included running in a club-organised team or relay, and officially helping out at one of Stragglers' main events.
Phil Davies ran the draw after Thursday night burgers at Bushy Park Sports Club. Chance Rowan and Nick Little were the lucky recipients of the places while Rachel Simpson won the first runner up spot in case either Chance or Nick can't run the race.
