Phoebe podiums in first Ironman half

Phoebe Law made the podium in her first half Ironman triathlon, having been the fastest competitor in the run segment. Phoebe who was competing in the Wimbleball Lake Triathlon, finished 3rd woman and 20th overall in a time of 6:04:10.

On the other side of the world, Stragglers were competing in the Sydney marathon. Rupert Abbott was the first club member to finish with a time of 3:11:11, while Alex Mason made it a family affair running with her sons and husband Denis. William Mason was the first family member to finish in 3:27:17, followed by Denis (4:04:12) Anne and Ed with times of 5:47:50 and 5:52:40 respectively. Jeff Bird also finished the course despite a nasty virus finishing in 4:23:33.

Closer to home James Ruskin and Jim Desmond competed in the Serpentine's last Friday of the month 5k, finishing in 17:54 and 19:11.
