Racing Stragglers shun the Easter eggs

While others may have been indulging in Easter eggs, some Stragglers were pounding the streets in road races this weekend. Ian Hawkes, tackled the Boston Marathon, having done Manchester last year and London in 2023. He finished in 3:31:44. Also running in Boston, Chris Coates completed the course in 2:53:44.

Closer to home, Jim Desmond was the first finisher from the club at the Maidenhead Easter 10 miler. Merilyn Davis, was our first and only female finisher, completing the course in 1:16:42 while Ewen Gibson finished in 1:31:58.
