Stragglers mob descend on Crane Park

It was another great turnout at the latest Summer Grand Prix event on Saturday, a mob match against local rivals Ranelagh Harriers, at the parkrun at Crane Park. We outnumbered the host club 64 to 55 but Ranelagh had more fast runners in attendance.

With 52 runners to score Ranelagh finished with 2,387 points to Stragglers' 3,087. Jim Lurkins was the first Straggler to finish producing a time of 17:32 to give him third place in a top 10 where eight of the other places were claimed by Ranelagh. Emma Henshaw was the fastest Straggler woman and the first woman to finish, ranked 16th with a time of 18:37.

It was good to see younger members participating with Oscar Curtin finishing 121st in 25:59, just ahead of both Mum and Dad, and Ethan Prince, finishing 200th in 33:47, one place ahead of his Mum.
