Stragglers seeking GP points in Cranleigh

This weekend's Cranleigh 7-14-21 mile event attracted a large field of Stragglers as it was the last event of the Winter Grand Prix, and the club took first place among the teams in both the 14 and 7 mile events. James Ruskin was the first finisher in the 7 mile event with a time of 42:29, followed by Sam Hawthorn in 43:05 (2nd) and Chance Rowan in 47:59 (4th). Lucy Hoseason was the first Straggler woman over the shorter distance finishing 25th in 58:09.

Austin Molnar was the fastest Straggler over 14 miles, finishing 3rd overall in 1:40:35, followed by Pavel Przepiorski in 1:40:37 (4th), while Lex Prince was our fastest woman finishing 9th in 1:47:38. Finally in the 21 miler, Ian Hawkes was our first finisher in 2:47:31 (28th) followed by Roy Kemp in 2:48:21 (29th). Kelly Page was fastest Straggler woman finishing in 2:50:14 and 32nd position.

A number of club members were racing at Kew where different race distances were also on offer. Lisa Bailey was the first female finisher in the half marathon in1:20:11. Laura Harrington finished in 2:18:49.

Patricia Ronksley (46:25) and Merran Sell (1:14:00) both finished first in their age groups in the 10K event, while Michael Trott finished second in his category with a time of 47:01. David Griffiths finished in 57:13.
